Week 4 - Blog 3 - The Light in Life.

Light has a funny way of making complete sense yet can create such magical images. The leaves I saw this beautiful afternoon were all being hit by the suns rays but regardless of the time of day some leaves were casted in shadow while others glowed and reflected vibrant greens. Each branch casted a shadow along the tree trunk and the other leaves. Seeing this gives the tree depth and a sense of realism but at the same time allows for the tree to illuminate and shine in a way that seems almost unreal to be true, but thats life, an abundant amount of light. So whether one is casted in shadow at one moment in their life, eventually the light will finds it way to illuminate the beauty in every aspect something or someone has to offer.

Week #4

Today, I looked outside my kitchen window and saw the sky really pretty. It grabbed my attention because it looked like if it was a fresh new sky. It always shocks me how one day it can be sunny and the next all cold and foggy. This crazy weather in L.A. is unpredictable. So, I went outside to take a picture of it and even though it looks kinda grayish in the picture, the sky was this pale blue color with some white spots around it. What I found interesting was the shape of the clouds and the colors that you see coming out from the sun. I kinda saw the rainbow colors but in like a pastel color scheme. What I ask myself is how would it look on stage if we had light colors coming out of a bright color.

Week #4: Feeling miserable towards ticket money
-This photo is my friend and me's first-time Lakers game watching in Staples Center. First ridiculous thing is right now is cheerleaders time, and I forgot to take a picture when players playing basketball. Another ridiculous thing is important area of this photo is actually big billboard that shows all score, media, advertisement, too. We didn't buy very expensive tickets, so we couldn't easily see vivid shots and famous players like Coby Braynt's bare face. Our eyes subconsciously glanced to the billboard for most of the time. Therefore, I couldn't receive more than $100 amount of benefits and felt miserable towards those ticket moneys when we were coming back.

Full Moon -Week #4

Full Moon

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago on campus after getting out of class. It was a full moon and extra bright. This picture made me think about the different kind of "moon light" and how that can be translated in a theatrical setting. When a full moon first begins to rise it is right above the horizon and looks HUGE (an optical allusion). It's often more dim, orangey yellow color. However when the moon is directly above it can be a intense white light, like how it was in this photo. The moon alone this night was lighting through darkness, it was sharp and couldn't be ignored. This is so much different from the "romantic" purply blue moonlight we so often think of.
With the moon alone I can think of so many ways to experiment with light!

Kind of looks like a light post in this picture, but I guarantee that was the moon!

Week 3: Blog Entry #2 - The Heart of Love

Before I start I told myself to avoid using the sunset again (or sunrise) But this was just too good not to post!

        Love I imagine is a lot of things. Anyone could argue that what they believe love is but for me love is warmth. It is an indescribable amount of warmth that radiates from your heart. Just like the sun, it shoots beams of warmth into everyone and everything. The sun in this case is creating a beautiful layer of light and color that is almost the heart of the sky. It is emitting slight pinks and oranges as it make everything around it a breathtaking sight. I would hope that when you find love every room you enter transforms because nothing will ever feel the same. Although, you can't own the sun or love, once you find that someone or something that creates an endless amount of energy in every fiber of your being, I would believe you found what it is they call Love.

Week # 2 -

Ever year as a kid, my parents would take me and my siblings to the fair that was only a five minute drive from where we lived; still till this day I never miss a year. What attracted me to this photo I captured some time back was the contrast between the darkness and light. The light illuminating from the carousel compliments the colors that are portrayed on the ride; the colors  seem to be more vibrant.  Having taken the photo at night, the dark sky gives the photo a sense of eeriness.
